Provenance: The umbonate brooch, Ex private UK collection, acquired by current owner in 1990; the Roman MARS fibula, Private collection Austria acquired prior to 1997, Ex Dorotheum 22nd April 1997, lot 144; the other four fibulae all ex private UK collection.
