Triumph TR3A. Imported by Marksdanes in 1987, this now-RHD TR3A underwent a protracted restoration before going to its first UK owner, a doctor, in 1994 when the odometer was zeroed. He used it sparingly and took the car with him to America whilst on secondment to a Texas hospital. Acquired by the vendor in 2008, recent work includes a bottom end engine overhaul (re-ground crank, new shell bearings, oil pump, starter ring gear, fuel pump etc.) followed by a rolling road test by Circuit Motors of Castle Combe which showed virtually factory-spec power levels. Other works in the current ownership include the fitment of new springs and Spax dampers, new fuel tank, overdrive switch and refurbishment of the wire wheels. Now showing 6,300 miles and reported to "pull well" with "spot on" oil pressure and "rust free" body with "excellent" Primrose paintwork and "very good" black leather interior, this fine TR is accompanied by a large history file and MoT to March 2015.
